What is Mediation?
Mediation is an independent and objective process used to settle disputes. The Mediator assists both parties without bias, guiding them through discussions, exploring options and assisting them in reaching an agreement. The process is without predjudice and confidential. This means that both parties can candidly express their positions without fear that what is said at the mediation, may later be used against them in court.

What is Arbitration?
This procedure is available to resolve distribution of property after the breakdown of a relationship. The dispute is referred to an independent Arbitrator who examines the issues and makes a binding decision. Arbitration cuts through both the formality and often inflexible nature of Court proceedings.

Independent Dispute Resolution with Commitment and Integrity is the promise of Accord Mediation
